French mountain passes : Savoie, Hautes Alpes, Matheysine
Oisans is the pathway to the Savoie, the Hautes Alpes and the Matheysine via its many mountain passes that go from 1300m to more than 2600m.
Of course, not all of these passes are open all year round, it depends on the height and the importance of the road … opening dates may sometimes seem a little late for an impatient cyclist.

RD 526 will be closed from May 23rd to June 12th.

Col du Glandon

Col de Sarenne
Altitude : 1 999 m
Col de Sarenne partially open Caution: Roadworks in progress in this area.
Expected opening from June 20th on the section between Alpe d’Huez and the Col de Sarenne.
Open on the section Clavans-en-Haut-Oisans – Le Perron – Col de Sarenne
No access to Alpe d’Huez; a U-turn is mandatory at the pass to descend back to Clavans-en-Haut-Oisans.
