ROUTE
From Les Deux Alpes, cycle down to the village of Mont de Lans and take the small road to the right signposted Cuculet. Visit the village and return by the same route. Start cycling back towards Les Deux Alpes and then turn right onto the D220 towards Bons just as you leave Mont de Lans. Stop in the village of Bons to admire the Porte de Bons archway, the remains of a Roman road that linked Grenoble to Briançon (half an hour on foot). Then carry on to the D1091 along the pretty road to Les Travers. Take the D1091 and ride up the switchbacks back to Les Deux Alpes.
