N°12 Romanche – Tour of the Plateau d’Emparis

From Le Chazelet, head for the Vallon de la Buffe, cross the villages of Les Rivets and follow the left-bank track to the bottom of the valley.
At the baraque de la Buffe, take a steep left-hand path, which requires pushing and alternating rolling for almost 1 hour.
Once you've reached the plateau, take the pretty path down through the meadows to the Col St-Georges.
Follow the track for a few hundred metres, then turn left onto the GR going downhill. Follow the path up to Col du Souchet.
At the Col du Souchet, turn right onto a path that climbs around Lac Noir and returns to Lac Lérié.
Quick descent along the attractive GR to the top of the Plateau d'Emparis ski lift.
After crossing the ski lift, take a more technical descent to the left to Clot Raffin, then join the Village du Chazelet by a final short climb.
