Give your bike a good workout and set off to explore the mountaintop villages of Oisans. There is a choice of four routes in the event (from 85 to 127 km) that are perfect for exploring the mountains of Oisans, featuring sparkling glaciers, fast flowing mountain streams and amazing waterfalls...

About : Brevet de Randonneur de l’Oisans

Created in 1978 and held every two years, this 23rd edition has been designed to enable you to explore your choice of the mountaintop villages - Villard Reculas and its renowned "Pas de la Confession" cliff road... or else climb the 21 switchbacks up to Alpe d'Huez before going over the Col de Sarennes. The route via the Col du Solude between Villard Reymond and Villard Notre Dame features unrivalled, untamed beautiful scenery, with villages clinging to the mountainside, very few cars (except the postman or local doctor) and narrow roads that were hand-chiselled at the beginning of the 20th century.

Cyclists then all meet together in the hamlet of La Bérarde (1750 m altitude), the mountaineering mecca situated at the foot of the south face of the Meije (3983 m) and west of the Barre des Ecrins (4102 m).
After sharing a hearty meal, cyclists can then freewheel back down to the departure point in Allemond.

Welcome to the wonderful region of Oisans and its mountains, where the sun rises so early and sets so late!
